Stories and songs for preschool children and their caregivers.

This is a drop-in program - no registration required!

All programs are free, and you do not need a library membership to attend. Siblings are welcome.

Ready, Set, Read! gives children who can read and have attended kindergarten up to grade 3 the opportunity to read with a Volunteer who has attended grade 4 up to grade 12. The Reader and Volunteer share 40 minutes of reading time, with the last 20 minutes spent in a fun group activity.

On Monday July 3 (Main Branch) meet our special guest, Slavka Kolesar, the illustrator for 2017’s TD Summer Reading Club!

Registration for Readers may be limited.
Ready, Set, Read! is not suitable for children with learning/reading disabilities.
All participants must be mature enough to attend without adult accompaniment.

Seeing the World Differently

Suitable for kids aged 6 - 12
This is a drop-in session.
Come meet Bob and his seeing eye dog Pacer to learn about what it's like to live with a sight impairment, and how they work as a team.

Wednesday July 12
Nezeralda’z Hoops

Theatre Gallery (Main Branch), 1:30 – 2:30 pm
Suitable for children ages 4 – 7 years.
This is a drop-in session.
Join Nez, a trained hoola hoop instructor, as she teaches us how to Hula Hoop.

Learn to Program - Create a Game  --with Jeff and Taylor from TechBridge MakerSpace
Kids' Tech Corner (Main Branch), Start time:  1:30 p.m.
Suitable for beginner coders, age 8+.
This is a REGISTERED session. Registration is FULL.
Like games - want to create your own? Join us to learn some of the basics of programming using Scratch to create fun and easy games. Take the first step to opening up future opportunities in a world where programming will be a highly demanded skill and enjoy the journey.

Come try making your own soap!  Choose your colours, scents, and mold to create a one-of-a-kind soap to take home.

Dance Workout for Kids with Kathleen

Anita lives in Lethbridge and will share her story about how she ended up writing this story!

If your spoken English is pretty good, but you want to learn about idioms, slang and "how to gossip" this course is for you.  Join us as we do a lot of talking and learn how to have a conversation with people at work, at the store, etc.
