Tuesdays – Time for Twos

Finger plays, stories, rhymes, and songs for toddlers 18-36 months and their caregivers. Drop-in children’s programs start at 10:00 am in the Friends Place Meeting Room. Siblings are welcome!

Come together with your child to enjoy stories, rhymes, and songs. Spend time bonding and learning new ways to interact.

Program runs for 10 weeks.

Parents and children (aged 5—12) have a snack and speak English as they learn together.  Families will work on English conversation, reading, computer and other skills they want to improve.  Free.
Priority given to newcomers.

Learn about living in Lethbridge!  Once per month we will visit local events in our community such as a hockey game or the Galt Museum.  The other weeks will cover things that interest YOU like budgeting, the benefits of renting versus buying cars or houses, or any other topics you want to know about!

If you think that if you touch a computer you will break it - this course is for you.  This course will introduce you to basic computer skills including: using a mouse, what all the keys do, basic internet searches, how to set up an email account to send and receive emails and attachments, and the very basics of using Word and Windows.  If needed, the tutor will also spend time teaching keyboarding skills.

Do you get frustrated when people don’t understand you?  Even when you rehearse what you’re going to say?  “Speaking Clearly” will help you to be able to tune into the rhythm and the beat of English”.
