Claudette Lacombe:  "Farming Smarter"
As an avid gardener, cook and an agricultural journalist, Claudette appreciates the significance of water, soil, fertilisers and pesticides in the production of food.  Her talk will let us in on some of the secrets she’s learned from over two decades of interviewing farmers, scientists and policy makers about growing food while taking care of the environment. They are only secrets because farmers and scientists don’t have marketing departments working for them 24/7 and they aren’t big on flashy advertising.

But what they know can and will make us better gardeners.
