Up in Smoke Speaker Series: Cannabis and the Law
Ethan Bayne, Executive Director of Strategy & Planning from the Alberta Cannabis Secretariat

The Alberta Cannabis Secretariat, of Alberta Justice and Solicitor General, will present Alberta’s Cannabis Framework – an overview of legislation and regulations that will manage legalized cannabis in Alberta with health and safety top of mind. The Secretariat has been working for the past year to obtain input and feedback from Albertans and stakeholders that has helped inform the options put forward to the government to consider. The system in Alberta is based upon that extensive input from Albertans. You are encouraged to visit for information.

The Alberta Cannabis Secretariat was established by the Government of Alberta in early 2017 to provide a dedicated team working on this emerging issue.

Assemble a team of up to six smartypants, and head to the Owl Acoustic Lounge the third Thursday of every month to take part in the library's pub quiz!  The top teams get prizes from the library and the Owl - plus all the bragging rights.

Questions start at 8pm, but we suggest getting there earlier as tables fill up quickly.
