Wednesdays – Stories and Stuff

Stories and songs for preschool children and their caregivers.

Drop-in children’s programs start at 10:00 am in the Friends Place Meeting Room. Siblings are welcome!

Come and spend quality time with your child. Rhymes, songs, and fingerplays for newborns to 4-year-olds and their caregivers.

Ready, Set, Read! gives children who can read and have attended kindergarten up to Grade 3 the opportunity to read with a volunteer who has attended Grade 4 up to Grade 12. The reader and volunteer share 40 minutes of reading time, with the last 20 minutes spent on a fun group activity.
We are looking for enthusiastic Readers and energetic Volunteers for Ready, Set, Read! which begins Monday July 2.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for Readers may be limited. Ready, Set, Read! is not suitable for children with learning/reading disabilities. All participants must be mature enough to attend without adult accompaniment.

Play with our library games! We have GIANT checkers, Scrabble, and Snakes & Ladders. This is a self-directed program that is fun for all ages. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.

If your spoken English is pretty good, but you want to learn about idioms, slang, and "how to gosssip" this course is for you. 
Join us as we do a lot of talking learning how to have a conversation with people at work, at the store, etc.

What should the library be doing for teens in Lethbridge?

Volunteer for the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) which plans programs, reviews collections, and advocates for teens at the library.  Anyone in grades 7-12 is welcome to be a member.
