Learn English with your preschool aged child (under the age of 5). Come and join our Time for Rhymes - ESL class as we learn English by singing songs, doing rhymes and listening to a story.  Then, while your child plays nearby, spend a half hour improving your conversations skills.  Free.

Nursery rhymes, creative play, short stories, songs and books for toddlers 18 months to 36 months and their caregivers.

Wednesdays - Time for Rhymes

Rhymes, tickles, bounces, and songs suitable for newborns to 4 year olds and their caregivers. Drop-in children’s programs start at 10:00 am in the Friends Place Meeting Room. Siblings are welcome!

If you are nervous using a computer, this class is for you. Some of the topics are basic computer skills including: using a mouse, what all the keys do, working with files, creating shortcuts, emailing, and the very basics of using Word and the internet.

 Do you need help to write a letter to your child's teacher, fill out a form, or send an email? Do you need help to understand documents you get in the mail? Or do you need help to write a resume or a cover letter. if you have written a resume or cover letter, bring it in and a tutor will check it over to make sure it says what you want it to say. we will not write it for you; we will just help you edit.

Join Mr. Oinks for songs, stories, and lots of silly fun! All ages are welcome to drop in for this program.

If your spoken English is pretty good, but you want to learn about idioms, slang and "how to gossip" this course is for you.  Join us as we do a lot of talking and learn how to have a conversation with people at work, at the store, etc.

Looking for a rewarding volunteer leadership position? The library's Teen Advisory Board needs you!

TAG meets once a month with the teenbrarian. Responsibilities include:

  • planning teen programs
  • updating the teen social media
  • guiding what the library offers for teens

Anyone in grades 7-12 is welcome to be a member.
