Nursery rhymes, creative play, short stories, and books for toddlers 18-36 months and their caregivers.

 Join us in the Millenium Garden on Tuesday mornings for some outdoor nature play! We will play, explore, and draw in our nature journals.  All ages welcome, younger children will need their parent or guardian.  This program will run rain or shine, please dress appropriately!

Drop in to discover ideas for your next project while meeting other stitchers. This is a great way to share techniques, get help, and show off your projects!! You must bring your own projects and supplies.

Suitable for knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching and needle point.

 Come to the Library and visit the Frontier College Reading Tent. Aimed at all ages, the Reading Tent has physical and non-physical activities based on reading and writing. Possible activities include making your own recycled journal, a literacy obstacle course, and story writing.

Looking to hone your writing skills?

Join our instructor Luke Dani Blue for a week of creative writing exercises, story games, character exploration, and more. Anyone in grades 7-12 is invited to take part.

You can also work on a piece of writing to submit to the WOTS Teen Writing Contest - a great opportunity to show off your work!

Ready, Set, Read! gives children who can read and have attended kindergarten up to Grade 3 the opportunity to read with a volunteer who has attended Grade 4 up to Grade 12. The reader and volunteer share 40 minutes of reading time, with the last 20 minutes spent on a fun group activity. We are looking for enthusiastic Readers and energetic Volunteers.

Register HERE starting June 1, 2018.

Please Note: All participants must be mature enough to attend without adult accompaniment. Ready, Set, Read! is not suitable for children with learning/reading disabilities.
