Join the Lethbridge Public Library as we welcome the latest guest in our Centennial Speak Series, Elizabeth Smart. At the tender age of 14 she was abducted from her family and home, held captive for nine long months. Elizabeth will not only speak on her own incredible story of perseverance, but on topics such as overcoming extreme adversity, the importance and process of recover, and not allowing your past to dictate your future.

An author event with a talk, question and answer period, and book signing will be held at the Yates Memorial Theatre. The University of Lethbridge Bookstore will be on site to sell books. Event admission requires tickets, available at the Main Branch Customer Service Desk. Limit of 4 tickets per person.

 Dennis Shigematsu's Travel Presentation will feature Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia covering history, scenery, friendly and different people , great cuisine, snow-cpped Caucasus mountains, Persian villages, monasteries, ancient 4th Centuty Assyrian cave dwellins, modernistic cities of Baku, Azerbaijan plus the Stalin Museum.
