Read On Adult Literacy and Learning

Adult Volunteer Tutors:

We need you* to assist us in helping adults improve their reading, writing, math, computer, or speaking skills.  Do you have skills and experiences to share in these areas? If so, this opportunity is for you!
After about 6 hours of training, you’ll be ready to start helping others. You can choose one-on-one tutoring or to teach a small class, on a day and time that works for you.  Don’t worry, we have prepared lessons you will use with your student(s), and Read On staff are here to support you.

Adult Volunteer Child Minders:

Finding child care on a limited income is difficult. We need you* to help us offer our adult literacy and learning services by minding a child, or children, so that Mom or Dad can focus on their lesson in Read On.  

No training is required, but we do require Police, Vulnerable Persons and Child Intervention checks.
