Monday, July 10, 2023 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Over this four-week program at the Crossings Branch, Readers (children who have at least completed Kindergarten and at most Grade 3) are paired with Volunteers (children who have completed from Grade 4 to 12) to read together, and then all participants join together in a group game or activity. 

Library Program: Ready, Set, Read

Ready, Set, Read! gives children who can read and have attended Kindergarten through grade 3, the opportunity to read with a Volunteer who has attended Grade 4 to 12. This fun and informal program is one hour in length, running from 10 a.m. to 11 a. m.. The Reader and Volunteer share 40 minutes of reading time, with the last 20 minutes spent in a fun group activity. 
Ready, Set, Read! takes place for six weeks in July/August at the Main Branch and The Crossings Branch.

**Not suitable for children with learning and/or reading difficulties.  Must be mature enough to attend the Program without adult accompaniment. **
