Homebound Services

The Homebound service is free, with the exception of an annual membership fee!
The Lethbridge Public Library's Homebound Service can link you with a volunteer who will visit you regularly and "bring the library to you".
Who is Eligible?
-Anyone who for reasons of ill health, disability, or convalescence is unable to come to the library.
-People confined to their homes during winter months only are eligible.
How does the service operate?
A volunteer will visit at least every three weeks at a mutually arranged time bringing library materials selected to your areas of interest. Specific titles may also be requested. Materials will be returned by the volunteer.

-Books in languages other than English
-Audio Books
-Music
-DVD's

Your local public library has access to a growing collection of materials in Large Print. From the latest bestsellers to the classics - as well as westerns, mysteries, romance novels - there's something for every taste. In addition, rotating block collections ensure that your library's supply of large print reading material is constantly refreshed.

Paperbacks by Mail

Are you unable to regularly visit your local library? Enjoy reading, but are running out of material? Then try Paperbacks by Mail--it's convenient and easy!...

Patrons with a valid library card are eligible to receive paperbacks through the mail. Several times a year, you'll receive a catalogue in the mail. List your selections and sit back and wait for the books to arrive at your doorstep! Each order is delivered with an addressed, postage-paid mail bag, so when you're done, simply put the books in the bag and drop them in the mailbox for return!
