Lethbridge Public Library's
3rd Annual Mini-Spelling Bee
A great success! 
 
The Library was abuzz with spellers for our 3rd Annual Spelling Mini-Bee on February 18th! Thirty-three students in Grades 1 to 3 took to the stage in a bee that lasted 13 nail-biting rounds and progressed to the Grade 8 spelling level.
 
The 2012 Mini-Bee champion was Jaime Jakovlievic with the winning word:  "loathe".
Congratulations to all the phenomenal spellers!
 
And a special thanks to our judging panel, the University of Lethbridge Literature Club volunteers, The Engravers for donating an astounding trophy, and all the parents and coaches who helped our spellers succeed!
