Updates on our response to COVID-19 and changes to service

Lethbridge Public Library has been closely monitoring the developments related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). This has been a constantly evolving situation, and we are working in collaboration with our City officials to ensure Lethbridge Public Library practices reflect new information as it is made available.

All branches of the Lethbridge Public Library – Main Branch, Crossings Branch, and Bookmobile – are closed until further notice.

Are the Book Drop Boxes open?
No, the Book Drop Boxes at all branches of the Lethbridge Public Library are now CLOSED. Please DO NOT return your items. You will not be charged late fees. 

What do I do with materials I currently have on loan?
If you have materials currently on loan, loans will be extended until we reopen and late fees will be waived.

Can I still place holds?
You will not be able to place holds on physical materials or pick up those holds at the Branches at this time. However, you can still place holds on electronic materials.

Can I still request interlibrary loans?
Interlibrary loan requesting and lending has been suspended.

What do I do if my membership is about to expire
If your membership is about to expire, it will be extended.

What if I’ve forgotten my PIN?
Click on the “Forgot Your PIN” link on the login page to reset your PIN.

What if I am having trouble logging into PressReader, hoopla, or Libby?
If you’re having trouble logging into these electronic services, check out our tutorials below.

Can I talk to someone from the Library?
For the time being, customer support and information services will continue to be available from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. You can reach our staff through our website or by calling 403-380-7330 (Main Branch) or 403-320-4037 (Crossings Branch).

When will the Library reopen?
We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and follow the advice of our local, provincial, and federal officials.

Our number one priority will always be to protect the health and safety of our employees and customers. We are in all instances committed to supporting a continuity of Library services for our community, and continuing to work towards alternative service delivery.
