Computers and Printing

Computers at all branches are available to library cardholders for up to 120 minutes each day. Our public computers have Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  

Internet Guest Cards are available for those that only want to use our public computers and don't have a library card. All users must agree to the terms of our Internet Access Policy. These sessions are for 60 minutes each day. 

Use of the Library's Internet access computers is on a first come, first served basis. However, self-booking can be made at the self-serve printing station or by asking staff at the Computer Services Desk.

Please have your library barcode and PIN available when calling. 

Wi-Fi is available for free throughout and around our buildings during open hours! There is no password – just join the Lethbridge Public Library network. The network will appear as "Library WiFi" when connecting.

Photocopying and printing are available in black & white or colour at a cost of 25 cents per page. 

Scanning to email is also available at both locations. 

In addition, we also offer Printing on the Go, where customers can email what they need printed to print@lethlib.ca. This service is only available at the Main Branch.  

To assist those in our community who do not have access to high-speed Internet services at home, Lethbridge Public Library has a Wi-Fi hotspot lending program. Cardholders over the age of 12 can borrow a portable MIFI hotspot for a 7 day loan.  

  • MIFI hotspots are available for one-week loans. Items must be returned within 24 hours after the one-week checkout. These items are not eligible for renewal. Hotspots must be returned in-person to the branch from which it was borrowed by close of business, they cannot be returned through the book drops. 
  • Chromebooks are also available from the Computer Services Desk for 3 hour loans, that are in library use only.   
  • Replacement Fees: The replacement fee for MIfI hotspots is $350.00 for a lost or damaged device; $50 for a lost or damaged cord or charger; and $10 for a lost or damaged carrying case.
